Kissmet is a Peterborough based band that has taken Bhangra songs (Indian folk, dance songs), and fused them with rock, with influences from Led Zeppelin, Cream and Hendrix, etc. The band has performed on the main stage at Womad, Glastonbury, the Edinburgh Hogmanay, Cardiff Castle... Also, the band has performed internationally at events in Mexico (Mexico City, Guadalajara), Malaysia (headlining the Rainforest World Music Festival), Italy, Portugal, Ukraine, Finland, Norway, Goa, Azores, Czech Republic, etc. The band has also been on the national TV and radio stations and performed at hundreds of festivals.
There are no bands like Kissmet as we are multicultural (3 Indian brothers, 3 English blood brothers on stage), we use a mixture of eastern instruments (Dhol drum (a BIG Indian drum), tabla drums (classical Indian drums), Vadja (harmonium)), alongside western keyboards, bass, drums and guitar and the band performs songs in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Sanskrit, changing tongues on the fly.
Everything Kissmet does is designed to bring people of all cultures, colours and creeds together to celebrate the fantastic diverse society we have in the UK so it would be great to work with you as you'll be able to fully witness what 3 generations of integration can do to music and how we can blend Eastern and Western culture together so seamlessly. Plus, what a fantastic opportunity to bring likeminded people together to celebrate some Bhangra Rock Fusion!

Also, we are now working with the Orchestra of the Swan, one of the UK's most renowned chamber orchestras, on a project called Bhangra Symphonica, where we have taken Kissmet material and fused them with orchestral scores. The result is an incredible sound which pushes the boundaries of fusion even further! It sounds amazing and previous performances have been at the Birmingham Town Hall, Ragley Hall and the Draper's Hall in Coventry. It has also been highlighted on the BBC and ITV channels.
