"The Thrive Hive was founded to provide personalised, meaningful day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. As a qualified social worker, I saw firsthand how many individuals and families would benefit from something more intimate, flexible, person-centred and aspirational than traditional day services.
The inspiration behind The Thrive Hive is deeply personal – my sister has a learning disability, and her journey has shaped my understanding of how vital it is for people to be seen as individuals with strengths, interests, and potential to achieve the same opportunities as their peers. I wanted to create a service that truly champions that belief by filling the gaps where reasonable adjustments are required.
Our ethos is rooted in dignity, empowerment and inclusion. We focus on building confidence, independence and real-life skills through tailored support that reflects each person’s goals and interests. Whether that’s accessing the community, developing vocational skills, nurturing hobbies, or building social connections, we aim to create opportunities that help people thrive – not just attend."
"At The Thrive Hive, we believe everyone deserves meaningful days, authentic relationships and the chance to grow in a way that feels right for them." - Leah.
